Specifying remarks in the graph

Scroll PDF |

In the Graph window, select the icon from the toolbar.

Use the arrow button next to the icon to open the following drop-down menu:

Select the Control bar entry.

If there are several plots in one graph, you must first specify the plot for which the control bar is to be displayed.

The control bar appears then at the bottom of the graph.

With the mouse pointer set on the control bar, you can open a context menu (with the right mouse button) offering functions to insert, change and delete remarks for the current time series.

To add new remarks, select in the context menu of the control bar the Add function.

The Set quality, influence and remark dialog opens:

Select the type from the drop-down list box (e.g. Remark).

Define then the time range of measured values for which the remark is to be created.

Once you have opened the dialog by selecting a range on the control bar the displayed dialog (or the total time range of the plot display) is set to default. It can still be adjusted manually.

Use the calendar for this.

Note: You can also set the time range in the graph;

to do so, hold the left mouse button down and draw the desired time range on the control bar.

The Insert remark/duties dialog then opens automatically.

As for remarks, specify in the Association section whether the remark is valid

for the whole station whose time series is currently active,

for the time series parameter or

only for the current time series.

.

Note: It is often useful to allocate remarks to the total station or to a parameter (e.g. “Gauge xy failed on ...”); if you choose these options, the remarks are displayed for all time series with measured values in the defined time range.

Check the corresponding box.

Specify now whether the remark is used internally or externally (check the box).

Note: Internal remarks are not displayed in reports!

Finally, set the remark text in the text field.

Apply your new remark or duty into the graph and table using the button of same name (dialog remains open) or

confirm with [OK].

The new remark or duty is indicated together with your user ID in the control bar; remarks are selected blue, duties yellow.

Accordingly, you can edit existing remarks or tasks with the Edit context menu item;

use the arrow buttons at the lower border of the dialog to browse through the existing entries.
